— lightning 100FM's Lt. Dan on "Roll with me"

Neo-soul artist and audio engineer Heather Batchelor finds the joy in marrying her honeyed voice behind the mic with all the magic of producing in the studio. On stage, she captivates audiences with her raw emotions and fingerstyle guitar playing. As a choir and theater kid growing up in Little Rock, Arkansas, she began songwriting on her father’s 1979 Alvarez Yairi that she still plays today. Now a seasoned musician in Nashville, she has over a decade of performances on her roster at venues such as The Basement, The Bowery Vault, The 5 Spot, The Listening Room, and City Winery. Beyond local haunts, she’s graced the stages of Austin’s Cactus Cafe as well as LA’s Hotel Cafe. And in 2022, she was an official artist in Nashville’s Queerfest. Heather’s artistry is recognized again and again not only as a gifted vocalist but also a writer. She’s penned songs with numerous artists including Blu Eyes, Charlie Rey, Scott Mulvahill, and Gabe Baker. Her latest release, “Live at The Treehouse,” is a project recorded locally at The Treehouse studio with a handful of artist friends, including Kate Cosentino, Katie Pederson, and Billy Gunther of the Midwest Riders. And continuing her education in 2025 at Darkhorse Institute for audio engineering was “so liberating. Having the knowledge to bring my ideas to life, and the language to be that much more engaged in the creative process with collaborators-it’s changed everything. And in an industry that’s ever evolving, I plan to do just that.”
